The Director of Human Resources at our Crowne Plaza North Augusta will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with our overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, interviewing and hiring candidates
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies to ensure a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management including warranted investigations and proper documentation
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (WC, OSHA & Safety compliance, ADA, FMLA, ACA, etc..)
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Ability to interpret and uphold company SOPs, policies, Brand Standards and the Employee Handbook
- Assist in working with 401(k) requirements through a Third-Party Administrator
- Plan and coordinate general meetings, associate gatherings, holiday parties, community initiatives, recognition, award and incentive programs
- Active participate on the hotel Executive Committee including sharing and communicating knowledge and attending weekly and/or monthly meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills required to juggle multiple priorities
- Ability to solve problems with well thought out solutions, while considering all options, information, and variables in a relatively short window of time
- Demonstrated HR knowledge and upkeep of relevant employment related laws and practices, benefits – medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability, ACA – Affordable Care Act, 401(k), OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, etc.
- College Degree in related field or equivalent HR training and experience required. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP Certified preferred
- Software skills required such as Microsoft Office Suite and Human Capital Management / HRIS such as Paylocity
